Whoa…. my apologies for the blog hiatus.  Life… It has just been too full of amazing-ly beautiful shoots, and meeting with unreal current and future clients, that the blog has been put on the back burner.  I’m going to try to be better at that 🙂

Let’s start with Kayla and Brady’s beautiful wedding day in June!!

I knew immediately when I first met Kayla that we had to work together. At our very first consult together (when Brady couldn’t make it), she brought 3 photo albums of their travels together so that I could better get a sense of who they were and what they loved.  (they loved adventure, and were smitten for eachother… check and check!!)

I could say a whollllle lot about this couple and this day, but I think I can summarize it pretty accurately from their own words in their speech. My goodness, I photographed their speech through blurry, tear-stained eyes, because their words to each other were just that heartfelt.  They didn’t talk for long, but what they said was so perfect. Their love is like this:  In her speech, Kayla spoke of different trips she had been on, and why this one particular 13 hour travel day felt so different than the insanely long travel days she has had before.  It occurred to her, that the only difference was Brady.  “There was no one to have push up competitions with or teach yoga to while waiting to board their flight.  She talked about how he shows her love… “how he reaches for her hand whenever a plane hits the tarmac.” (My heart!!!)

Then there was Brady’s speech.  He said that the most common marriage advice he has gotten, is to tell Kayla he loves her every. s i n g l e. day. He then said, if you all knew how much I already tell her I love her every day, you would be embarrassed for me. Good for you, Brady… you don’t need any advice, just keep looking at her the way you do, and you are set for life 🙂

These two have a special kind of love. A once in a lifetime true and perfect connection.  It was the kind of love that brings happy tears to my eyes being able to capture.  Its that kind of love that makes me L.O.V.E what I do 🙂

I have never witnessed a sibling bond as close as these sisters.  I can’t wait to witness it again when I get to photograph Kayla’s sister Katie in a month! 😉

Oh Archeo, you are such a gem.Bridal party getting ready to enter!These two… adorably going over their speech minutes before entering! Love these!This was the first wedding I had ever been to where the bride and groom speak first… what an AWESOME idea!!  You get to welcome and thank everyone right off the bat!  So good! 🙂

There was so much emotion in this room, it is a good thing there were two of us to capture so much of it 🙂
Yup.Archeo is such an intimate perfect spot for a wedding reception!

Mother/Son and father daughter dances are always such a special part of the night! The father/daughter dances always get me though….

I just know you two are destined for an exciting life chalked FULL of so much love and epic adventures. You will always keep eachother smiling…. I am so incredibly happy you found one another.
