As a wedding photographer, I think I have one of the best, most amazing jobs in the world.  I have so much fun with every single couple I meet, and every person I photograph.  I love my job so much.  That being said, it is a job that can consume me.  After I shoot the wedding, I am SO excited the load the images, cull and edit, post sneak peeks etc … I love it!

Sometimes, it is important to take a step back, and look at what is important in my life outside of one of two jobs I love so much.  It is so important not to forget the people that matter most.  This year one of my biggest goals was to balance work and life better.  I think it has been going well so far.  Even if it means finishing a wedding at 11 pm, meeting Brent, and driving 2.5 hours to the cottage so we can wake up and have a full day together there.  It was worth every second.

In this fast paced city life, it is easy to get caught up in it, and forget we forget to enjoy the moment.
