Even though this was a “short week” with Canada Day and all… it certainly seemed to drag on and on! BUT here we are moving into the weekend, and I am so incredibly happy about that!

Sarah & Alex are friends of mine from University.  They have been dating since first year, and I am SO excited that they are getting married this August!!  I will not be photographing their wedding though, we kind of made a pact with my close group of friends, that I have to be a guest at their wedding.  That doesn’t mean I can’t do their engagement photos though! Sarah and Alex hadn’t yet had an e-shoot done, and I was getting my promo video filmed, and I offered to shoot their engagement session if they didn’t mind being on the video!  Well they definitely didn’t mind, and in fact jumped at the opportunity.  I was thrilled.

As we pulled up to our location on what was a super sunny afternoon, all of a sudden it began to POUR RAIN!!  We anxiously phoned each other in separate cars, wondering how long we should wait to see if it cleared.  Well we decided to just make it happen rain or shine!  The rain turned to a slight drizzle for the first bit of the shoot.  Once we made it to the dock however, it started to POUR.  Well, these two weren’t phased.  Kale (videographer extraordinaire: http://kalefitchfilms.com/blog/) might have been phased by the psychotic weather we have here in Toronto though.  We had a really fun time, despite the weather, and I was actually kind of falling in love with the soft look of the photos with the grey sky and water in the background just in the back of my camera.  I fell even more in love with them when they were enlarged on my computer! All in all… I think it was a success!  You be the judge 🙂

Sarah & Alex, thank you so much for doing this shoot with me and for being such troopers in the rain!  I am SO incredibly excited for your wedding!  It will be the first wedding I am at as a guest in a lonnnng time!
