Blair and Tom… where to begin!!!  Well why not at the beginning??   I met these lovebirds separately, before they were lovebirds during our university days at Western.  We were all orientation leaders, and on a team that helped new students get oriented to university life.  It was one of my favourite weeks of the year, being surrounded by the best people.  All fun, all the time. BUT, we were never all on the team at the same time, so I knew them separately.  Fast forward to post university… It was probably by 2nd or 3rd year photographing weddings, and I was photographing a stunning wedding at Sunnybrook Estates.  I was standing in the ceremony location with the camera to my eye, photographing candids of guests waiting for the bride and groom to arrive.  Through the viewfinder, I spotted Tom!  And then… Blair too?!  I lowered the camera and they were excitedly waving to me, and that was the day I found out that these two amazing souls were together, and it was THE BEST.  Fast forward a couple more years and I got to photograph their engagement session, which turned out to be one of the most fun nights ever. I cannot even imagine how fun the wedding day is going to be, but I am already so excited for it!

I always work closely with couples to plan engagement sessions that have some sort of sentimental value to the them.  Blair and Tom happened to have this favourite coffee shop (which allows dogs!!!), and they wanted to include it in their day.  (Side note: Thanks Blair and Tom for introducing me to this amazing coffee shop and the most unreal coffee from Nicaragua!! that bag didn’t even stand a chance in our house).  I just think it will be so fun for them to look back on these images years down the road, and remember this place they used to go!
