When you put a couple in their element, something magical happens.  They are completely at ease, enjoying the moment…

Ashley and Andrew are huge music enthusiasts, which is actually how they met.  So when we were planning their engagement session, the idea of their favourite music store in Toronto (Remini Music Store), came to mind.  After contacting the store, Ashley was greeted with nothing but enthusiasm by the wonderful staff.  When we showed up on the day of to photograph this session, we were met with open arms and some of the kindest people I have ever met.  They were SO honoured to have Ashley and Andrew want to capture such special memories in their store, that they gave them gifts and hugs, and even called them “part of the family.”  They escorted us upstairs to where all the reallllly special pianos rested under blankets.  We walked into a beautiful library and they asked us to hold on while they wheeled in an absolutely stunning Fazioli Piano into the already beautiful space.  As amazed as I was that this was all happening, I could not stop watching Ashley and Andrews faces.  It was like Christmas morning when they were 5 years old, and they were the most excited people on the planet.  The wonderful people of Remini left us in the room, and Ashley and Andrew took a seat on the piano bench.  From there, I don’t even think I said a word to direct them.  They sat down and started playing the most beautiful music.  At one point, only Andrew played and Ashley sang to him.  It was just beautiful.  They were so happy, and it was just a perfect experience that I know they will never forget, and I certainly won’t either!

The rest of the session, no matter where we went, those Christmas morning smiles were plastered to all of our faces, and everything just kept getting better.  I am so so so grateful for this day.
